The grit and the heat
We use high-purity quartz glass doped with halogen. Why? Because it lets the filament run hotter without just giving up and burning out. This gives you a concentrated short-wave IR emission that punches through PET preforms way faster. Depending on what your oven can handle, we’ve got various wattage and voltage options to match your power supply. **One quick warning though:**If you decide to go with a higher wattage than your original lamp, you’re packing more heat into the same amount of space. Make sure your cooling fans are clean and actually working, or you might find your sockets melting.
Real-world use
These lamps are built for the shop floor. They can take a beating in high-cycle environments. We also optimized the coating for thermal uniformity, so you don’t have to worry about weird hot spots ruining your bottles. When it’s time for a scheduled teardown, swapping these out takes minutes.
