If you’ve spent any time on a bottling floor, you know the headache of uneven wall thickness. One bottle looks great, the next one fails. Usually, it comes down to your thermal profiles. When your heating lamps start wearing out or you’ve got a mismatched set, your preforms just don’t heat evenly. It’s frustrating, and it wastes plastic. That’s why we built our replacement lamps. We didn’t want to overcomplicate things. We just focused on the stuff that actually matters when you’re standing in front of a Sacmi SBF 24—the physical fit and the electrical pull. Power and Voltage (The “Don’t Blow It” Part) We spec these to hit the exact wattage and voltage the SBF 24 oven expects. We use high-purity quartz glass and shortwave infrared tech because you need that heat to punch through the PET resin fast. But here is a quick heads-up:**check your voltage.**Whether your machine runs on 230V or 400V, make sure it matches the lamp before you flip the switch. If you get this wrong, you’ll smell a burnt filament instantly. Not a great way to start the shift. The Fit and Feel No one wants to spend three hours modifying a socket. We used standard connectors—think R7s or SK15—so these just slide right in. We also treated the quartz tubing. Bottling plants are tough environments—corrosive, humid, messy. These are built to handle that grime without degrading. Putting Them to Work These are true drop-in replacements. We kept the design brand-agnostic because, at the end of the day, the physics of heating plastic is the same regardless of the logo on the machine. You get a consistent heat soak across the preform, and your bottles come out uniform. One thing to keep in mind, though. These lamps put out a lot of heat. A lot. If your oven’s ventilation is clogged or your cooling fans are acting up, the ambient temperature inside the oven will spike. That can lead to overheated preforms. Just keep your airflow clear, and these lamps will last you a long time.
