They’re built to the same specs, focusing on the heat density and spectral output you need to get your PET preforms to the perfect temperature for blowing. The technical side of things These tubes are built for the heavy lifting of industrial blow molding. We’ve balanced the wattage and voltage so the lamp hits its target temperature fast. But here is the catch: high-wattage tubes pump out a massive amount of infrared energy to get through those PET walls. That creates a lot of heat.**Make sure your cooling blowers are actually doing their job.**If they aren’t, that ambient heat will cook your lamp sockets, and you’ll be replacing them way sooner than you should. What’s under the hood? We use high-purity fused quartz. Why? Because it doesn’t warp when things get scorching hot. We also make sure the filaments are centered perfectly. If they’re off, you get hot spots, and hot spots lead to burnouts. For the connectors, we stick to the basics—industrial interfaces like R7s or Sk15. It means you can swap them out quickly during a shift change without a headache. Plus, if you’re dealing with thicker preforms, we have coated options that shift the IR spectrum. This helps you heat the plastic all the way through without scorching the surface. What this means for your floor The biggest win here is your cost per bottle. Since these have the same physical footprint as the original Krones parts, you don’t have to mess around with your oven racks. You just pop them in and get the same heat distribution you’re used to. One quick tip: these high-output lamps are sensitive. If your power supply spikes by even 5%, you’re going to shave a lot of life off the lamp. Keep your voltage regulators dialed in, and your quartz will last much longer.
