You need heat that hits hard and fast, then vanishes just as quickly. That’s where our quartz tubes come in. We use Nichrome heating elements tucked inside high-purity quartz, and they’re designed for the chaos of a high-volume bakery—where your heaters are clicking on and off hundreds of times a shift. Why it actually works Most industrial heaters are like heavy cast-iron pans; they take forever to warm up and even longer to cool down. These tubes are different. Because the Nichrome wire is light and the quartz lets energy fly right through it, the heat is almost instant. We spend a lot of time obsessing over the wire gauge. Why? Because we want those elements to hit their peak temperature in milliseconds. It’s snappy. It’s precise. Dealing with the stress When you’re switching heat on and off that fast, materials get stressed. Things expand and shrink. If we used regular glass, it would shatter almost immediately. Quartz can handle that kind of thermal shock without breaking a sweat. And that Nichrome alloy? It keeps the wire from burning out, even when the temperature spikes are aggressive. The trade-offs (Because nothing is perfect) Here is the catch: quartz is fragile. It’s powerful, but it can’t take a hit. If your oven has a lot of vibration or things tend to bump into the equipment, you’ll want to shield these tubes. Also, since the heat is so intense, your conveyor belt speed has to be spot on.
