The Battle Against Water

Dealing with the “Fog”

We fixed this by tweaking how air flows around the emitter. By keeping the lens temperature just above the dew point, the fog never has a chance to form. The infrared waves just slide right through.
The Honest Trade-off
Now, let’s be real. You can’t have everything. Adding all these seals and glass shields makes the unit a bit bulkier. It also puts a physical barrier between the heat source and the person standing under it. If you compare this to a naked, indoor lamp, you’ll notice the heat isn’t quite as instant. You lose a tiny bit of raw power. But in exchange? Your heater actually lasts for years, even in a rainy climate. It’s a small price to pay for gear that can actually take a beating and keep working.
