It’s just the brutal reality of PET blowing. Between the constant vibration and the wild swings in temperature, standard lamps just can’t keep up. They aren’t built for this kind of stress. We got tired of seeing lines go down for the same reason over and over, so we built a reinforced version. It’s a simple drop-in replacement, but it actually holds up. Dealing with the heat Here’s the thing about high-density IR heating: it’s a balancing act. When you push a lot of power through a standard quartz tube, the glass expands and puts a ton of pressure on the seals. That’s usually where the crack happens. We switched to a reinforced quartz glass that can take those heat spikes without snapping. It keeps the heat focused exactly where it needs to be—on the preform—so you don’t end up with those annoying bottle defects. The fit matters A lamp is only as good as how it sits in the socket. If there’s even a tiny bit of wiggle room, you get arcing, and the ends burn out way too fast. We tightened up the tolerances on our end-caps so they snap in snugly. We also beefed up the internal filament supports. No more sagging when things get hot.
